Every Teacher Should Have This
Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2011
As this is my second year owning my own studio I can't say enough about how happy I was to have been introduced to the Children's Hour of Power Series! After seeing years of ballet done just for fun and seeing problems when dancers move out of pre-ballet and into "regular" classes I was searching for a resource that filled my gap. I found it with Ms. Eileen and her amazing program. I also must say it was nice to see a video that shows a real class and not a staged one where children wiggle, and giggle, and ask to go to the bathroom. So often they have only a couple children that seem to be "too perfect", so the realistic aspect of the video is very much appreciated. I love the sayings, like "scoopy, doopy, doo" and my dancers love them as well, they already are anticipating the words. I am very much a teacher like Ms. Eileen where I have no problems in singing, or acting things out with my dancers. Seeing Ms. Eileen interact with her dancers made the video so enjoyable to watch. I have implemented Ms. Eileen's program, and already see an improvement with my dancers. My higher level ballet teacher (who introduced me to Ms. Eileen's program) loves seeing the younger dancers improve and is excited that we are finally bridging the gap between our programs. It is so wonderful to have a program that makes ballet fun as well as makes it count. I suggest that everyone get this series...I know this series will become a mandatory resource for training of my new teachers. Thank you Ms. Eileen for seeing the need for a program of this nature, and sharing your talent with us!
